PRIVACY NOTICE

This privacy notice is for the website fionagodfreyart.com, which serves as a portfolio for my work (Fiona Godfrey) and a sales page for the courses and groups I run.

This privacy policy provides information for those who are concerned with how their ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ is being used online. This is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. This privacy policy is intended to give clear understanding of how I collect, use, protect and handle your Personally Identifiable Information.

What personal information do I collect from the people that visit my website?

Two types of information are collected; that which you choose to provide and that which is collected automatically.

Contact

When using the ‘contact’ form, you will be asked to enter your name, email address, and mailing address. This information will be stored by me but not used for any other purposes other than to respond to your inquiry.

Mailing list

If you choose to sign up for my mailing list, you’ll be asked to enter your name, email address and postal address. This information will be stored by me and used to send periodic emails updating you with news, offers and opportunities.

Blog

When commenting on my blog you’ll be asked for your name / email address. This is so I know who’s commenting and can keep an eye out for scammers. This information will not be stored by me or used for any other purpose other than the above.

Purchasing courses /memberships

If you sign up for my courses / memberships, you’ll be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address and payment details. I may use this information to contact you in the event of any queries about your payment.

Payments

When you purchase a course or membership from this website, we collect personal information from you to fulfill the order. We may collect information like your:

  • Billing and shipping address

  • Details relating to your purchase

  • Email address

  • Name

  • Phone number

We share this information with Squarespace, our online store hosting provider, so that they can provide website services to us.

As you go through checkout, this site may auto-complete your shipping and billing address by sharing what you type with the Google Places API and returning suggestions to you to improve your checkout experience.

We use Paypal to process payments on this site. You can find details of how PayPal may collect, retain, process, share and transfer your Personal Data by reading PayPal’s Privacy Statement.

How else might I use the information you choose to provide?

Your personal information may also be used to:

  • personalise your experience and to allow me to deliver content and opportunities which are likely to be of interest to you.

Information collected automatically – website analytics

This website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace collects personal data when you visit this website, including:

  • Information about your browser, network and device

  • Web pages you visited prior to coming to this website

  • Your IP address

Squarespace needs the data to run this website, and to protect and improve its platform and services. Squarespace analyses the data in a de-personalised form.

Cookies

How will I protect your personal information?

Your data will be stored on secure servers, on password protected devices and will be accessible only by myself and my staff.

I will not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information.

If you suspect any misuse or loss of your Personally Identifiable Information, please contact me immediately.

How long will you keep my Personally Identifiable Information?

Your data will only be stored for as long as is required to fulfil the purposes outlined in this privacy policy or until you ask for your data to be deleted.

Even if we delete your data, it may persist on backup or archival media for tax, legal or regulatory purposes.
